Dr Alistar Soyode
He is a frontline media influencer and one of the top Nigerians in Diaspora, Dr Soyode is a Media Mogul and the Founder/CEO of BEN Television London, the first black Television station in the UK and Continental Europe, which broadcasts across Europe, North America, Africa and Nigeria. He is the President and Commandant-General of the Nigerians In Diaspora Mentoring Corps (NIDMECORP) and former President of Nigerians In Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDO EUROPE).
Dr.Alistair Soyode is the founder and CEO of the Bright Entertainment Network (BEN), popularly known as BEN Television London, which is the first and longest running black-oriented television in the United Kingdom and Europe. BEN Television London is a brand that has grown and changed over the past years, reaching out to millions of people across the UK, Continental Europe, North America and Africa. He is also the Chairman of Nigeria Initiative of Independent Economic Affairs (NIIEA).
Educated in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom, he possesses a wealth of experience in business development and management. He is the chairman of the Jader-Group which publishes Mobile Tech News (Nigeria’s first mobile telecommunications magazine) and Excel magazine. As an initiator of the African Business Roundtable, he was instrumental to the publishing of “Invest Africa 2004”, in association with Alhaji Bamanga Tukur’s NEPAD Business Group.
He is also a board member of the NICA organization, a private sector organization dealing with farmers and ensuring fair pricing and trade in Nigeria. He has negotiated contracts for several sporting personalities and is well known in sports management circles. A much-sort-after speaker, he takes delight in mobilizing teens and youths to rise up as leaders of tomorrow. Alistair Soyode is a pivotal member of the UK’s black community, bridging the gap between the mainstream and grassroots.
He is the former Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDO Europe), an organization responsible, corporately, for the well-being of more than 10 million professional Nigerians outside the country, existing as a non-profit organization that draws resources from the synergy of all Nigerian Professionals in the Diaspora, to instill ethical consciousness, and civic responsibility in enhancing the socio-economic advancement of Nigerians and humanity in general.
Dr Soyode held the position of the Chairman of NIDO Europe from 2009 to 2011. Since then, he has been one of the elders of the organization and founder of Nigerians in Diaspora Mentoring Corp (NIDMECORP), as a continuous way of rendering mentoring services to Nigerian youths and energetic civilians. Apart from being a media mogul, Owner and Chairman of Europe’s First Ethnic Media Satellite Company, BEN Television London; Dr Soyode is on the board of many national and international organizations.
